To find your correct size, you'll need a measuring tape and a friend to assist. We use the W-S length terminology on our size chart, which stands for "waist to shoulder" measurement. This essentially measures the vertical distance from your shoulder to your hipbone. It's more accurate than trying to guess by height/weight.
Here’s how to take the measurement:
Position the tape: ask your friend to help you measure from the top of your shoulder down to your hipbone
Record the length: this measurement represents your W-S length
Compare to the size chart: use this number to find your size on the chart
If your measurement falls between sizes, it’s generally advisable to choose the larger size so that the surface area of your back is appropriately covered. Ensure the fit is snug but comfortable, especially if you engage in activities like freeriding or racing where movement is more dynamic.
