Which back protector should I get?Updated 4 months ago

NoShock: Our honeycomb-cone-structured SLYTECH Foam provides the highest impact energy absorption performance (Level 2 certification) and offers uncompromised comfort, flexibility, and ventilation. A 3-point belt also supports the lower back. It's about 3/4" thick.

Flexi: By using SLYTECH Foam in the FLEXI hexagon structure, these back protectors are especially thin and light while also offering unrivaled flexibility and certified impact energy absorption performance (Level 1 certification). It's about 1/4" thick.

It's counter-intuitive, but Level 2 protection is "higher" than the Level 1, so the NoShock is the more robust protector and the Flexi is lower profile. Which option you choose depends on the kind of skiing or riding you do.

Naked: Minimalist belt and shoulder straps (all removable).

Vest: Just like a shirt, our most integrated system made for ease and extra warmth.

Mini: XS and XXS sizes for the young bloods.

  • First time wearing a back protector? Casual or frequent skier/rider? Choosing the vest versus naked option is a matter of personal preference.

  • Hitting the park, urban, or cliff gallery on a daily basis? We recommend you go a little more heavy duty with the NoShock Back Protector Naked.

  • I got a need for speed!

    •  The NoShock Back Protector Naked is your best choice, worn by our entire World Cup team and provides the most minimalist and heavy duty option for racers.

  • I’m under 12 years old Protect your back from the beginning, the Flexi Back Protector Vest Mini or Flexi Vest Mini Zip is the perfect entry level back protector. Whether you choose the zip-up vest or pull-on vest is a matter of personal preference.
